The Wrong Door: Visual Vengeance Blu-ray Review

Visual Vengeance has been releasing deluxe Blu-ray edition of low budget horror films. These films are for the most part forgotten. But Visual Vengeance is not letting these films go by the wayside. We have seen releases of Repligator, Heartland of Darkness, Lycan Colony and Vampire and other Stereotypes. Than the latest was Linnea Quigley in Scream Queen.

Now it is time for another Visual Vengeance deluxe edition Blu-ray release. This time it is 1990's The Wrong Door. The ultra cool part about this is this deluxe Blu-ray release is the first time this film has ever been available on disc.

Ted Farrell has lived for mysteries and drama his whole life. While a college student he proves to be a sound designer with a knack for audio thrillers - but his life is about to imitate his art. Fate places him at the doorstep of a beautiful young woman who will soon end up murdered and in his car with no explanation. His night and his sanity quickly spiral out of control as he races to avoid becoming the next victim of the killer on the loose.

The Wrong Door is a B horror thriller. The acting is surprisingly good for a regional horror flick. When you watch directors James Groetsch, Shawn Korby, and Bill Weiss' The Wrong Door you can see this film was inspired by Brian D Palma. I think what helps this film a lot is the fact that it runs a mere 72 minutes. So, with the brisk pace it makes it easier to watch.

The Wrong Door has been transferred to Blu-ray featuring a brand new 2K HD transfer from the original Super 8mm elements. The film is presented in 1080p in full screen format and the audio is a 2.0 mono audio. There is also the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Now The Wrong Door debuts on disc here with the 2K HD transfer. Now there are some imperfections in the picture, but with no other release to compare it to all we can do is say this is a very nice transfer for what it is! Visual Vengeance added a boatload of bonuses to this Blu-ray! Take a look at what is included in this release.
