A Ring for Christmas (2020) { Mill Creek Entertainment DVD Review}

Holiday Rom-Coms area great source of entertainment. Every year new holiday rom-coms are produced as it seems people can not get enough of them. This year Mill Creek Entertainment has released some great holiday rom-coms on DVD. We had the opportunity to review two of them so far they include Christmas in Rockwell and Christmas in Wolf Creek.

In 2020 Story works produced A Ring for Christmas. Now the good folks at Mill Creek Entertainment are releasing this film on DVD just in time for the Holidays. 

Angie Moore (Liliana Tandon) leads a charmed life in New York City until her mother (Academy Award nominee Lorraine Bracco) financially cuts her off. When Angie finds out she will inherit a large trust when she gets married, she desperately forms a plan: she will find someone to marry before Christmas! Travelling back to her hometown, Angie attempts to convince her high school crush (Charles Hittinger) to marry her, while helping a friend (Dean Geyer) revitalize his diner. Will Angie follow through with her crazy plan and find someone to marry before Christmas?

A Ring for Christmas is a pretty predictable film. With that it makes it a little less enjoyable as you already know what is going to happen before it even does. But that how many rom-coms are.

Liliana Tandon wrote and stars in this film but is joined by a good cast including; Dean Geyer (Glee), Charles Hittinger (Grendel), Lorraine Bracco (Goodfellas, The Sopranos) and Michael Gross (Tremors, Family Ties). Even though the film is predictable the cast puts everything in their performances to make it the best it can be.

Mill Creek Entertainment has transferred this film to DVD in widescreen format. The soundtrack is a 5.1 surround sound. There is also the options for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing. The film transfer looks pretty great. It's crisp and clean. 

Now as for bonus features on this DVD there are none. It would have been nice to see a trailer or a first look featurette. But there is none. That is a bit of a downer. But if you are looking for a Christmas movie to watch, you may not care about bonus feature.
