Reviewed by Jason Lockard

Miracles, we all want to believe in them. No matter how they come everyone wants to believe in miracles. Easter of 2021 Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (Do You Believe) Austyn Johnson (The Greatest Showman), Kevin Sorbo (Kull the Conqueror), and Emmy Award winner Peter Coyote (E.T. the Extra Terrestrial) joined forces to bring the world a tale of faith and miracles.

Now Mill Creek Entertainment has released this film "The Girl who believes in Miracles" on DVD. No doubt faith-based movie fans are going to want to add this one to their collections. But what about the average movie fans? Let's take a look at this release.

The film follows a young girl named Sara Hopkins. She has a child-like faith in God. When she hears a preacher say faith can move mountains, she starts praying. One day she sees finds a bird who has died, she doesn't pray flowery words she just talks to God and miraculously the bird comes back to life and flies away. The story the miracle girl begins to gain legs and people begin to come to have her pray for them. But will the overwhelming crush of notoriety and press attention soon takes its toll on Sara. You'll have to see the film to find out!

The screenplay was written by Richard Correll and G.M. Mercier and what a screenplay it is. The story is so well crafted and while it is a faith-based film, I didn't find it overtly preachy. Every single person in this film puts their heart and soul into their roles and really drag you into the story.

Co-writer and director Richard Correll crafted a truly beautiful film. The girl who believes in miracles runs 1 hour and 40 minutes, but you won't even realize it. The story pulls you in and before you realize it your at the crescendo.

Now Mill Creek Entertainment have transferred this film in it's original Anamorphic widescreen format in 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby 5.1 audio. The film looks and sounds beautiful on DVD. There is English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing and Spanish subtitles as well. The only downer of this release is there is no bonus features at all! I wished there would have been at least the trailer.
