Passenger (2026) Blu-ray Review

For me, there is no better time of the year than September and October to check out horror films. Now for some people, horror films are a year-long thing. And I don't mind that myself. But I really amp up my horror viewing at this time of the year. 

Paramount Pictures' new horror film Passenger has now been released on Blu-ray in time for the spookiest night of the year. You can order your copy of this film nd have it ready for your Halloween party or just for your own night of terror.

Synopsis: After stopping at the scene of a gruesome accident on a remote highway, a young couple realizes they didn’t leave alone. A demonic presence known as the Passenger has hitched a ride, turning their van-life adventure into a nightmare they can’t escape.

Sometimes the most terrifying things are the things you can't see. And that is exactly what Passenger plays on: the fear of the force of evil that no one or very few see. The story is very unique and well crafted. The acting is good and the production quality is great.

Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment has transferred Passenger to Blu-ray in 1080p High Definition and is presented in 2.39:1 aspect ratio. The audio track options are an English Dolby Atmos track, a French and Spanish Dolby Digital track and finally an English descriptive track. There are subtitles in English, French and Spanish.

The Blu-ray transfer is crisp and clean. There are no signs of digital artifacts or audio anomalies. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the flesh tones are correct. This is a really nice Blu-ray transfer.

Now for bonus features! Here I must say Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment disappoints. There is not a single on disc bonus feature found on this release. There is no audio commentary, interviews or even a trailer. The only bonus here is a digital copy of the film.

Now, in all honesty, I do enjoy having a copy in my digital library. This makes it nice, that why if you are away from your collection and you would like to watch Passenger, you can do so as long as you have a good internet connection.
