She Rides Shotgun (4K UltraHD Review)

Most movie thrillers just mix action, guns and violence to get you the most bang for your buck. But She Rides Shotgun is not happy with just action for the sake of action. It brings a wonderful story of parental love and protection along with it bringing a very unique tale to life.

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has released She Rides Shotgun on 4K UltraHD. Now fans of thrilling action films can add this film to their home video library and enjoy this film anytime they desire.

Synopsis: Where can you run when there's nowhere to hide? Taron Egerton stars as Nate, an ex-con on the run in this gritty action-thriller. Nate must protect his 11-year-old daughter, Polly (Ana Sophia Heger), as they're pursued by unrelenting enemies, including a corrupt sheriff who is also the brutal leader of a criminal gang. 

Director Nick Rowland brings to film a non-stop thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. But there is more to this story than just thrilling action. There is the story of a father and daughter traying to survive together. Nate is a flawed human and is on a journey to become a better man. She Rides Shotgun is a wonderful story of redemption.

She Rides Shotgun has been transferred to 4K in 2160p and Blu-ray in 1080p and is presented in 2.39:1 aspect ratio. The Audio track is an English 5.1 DTS HD Master Audio. There is also the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

The film transfer is simply gorgeous. The picture is crisp and clean. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the flesh tones are correct. Both the 4K and the Blu-ray discs receive a wonderful transfer. So that if you have not upgraded your home theater to 4k just yet the Blu-ray will be a great viewing experience as well.

Now as for bonus features there are no on disc bonus features. The only bonus on this release is that there is the addition of a digital copy of the film. That is a nice little bonus feature to have. That way if you are away from your library and you have an internet connection you can watch the film digitally. But there is nothing like watching a film on disc.
