Audiences are fascinated by mythical creatures! Many films have been made about the leprechaun! Including a mini-series entitled The Magical Legend of the Leprechaun. Now the good folks at Mill Creek Entertainment has released this mini-series on DVD.

The film follows Jack Woods a stressed-out corporate executive, who is in Ireland scouting out likely places to build vacation homes. What he finds is a beautiful land, a beautiful girl, Kathleen, and leprechauns. After saving the head of the local leprechaun clan Seamus Muldoon, Jack is welcomed into the secret magical world of leprechauns, trooping fairies, and various other magical creatures. A war is about to rage between these magical creatures. Can Jack and Kathleen with the Grand Banshee’s help stop the war and keep The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns alive? You'll have to watch the DVD to find out.

The Mini-series boasts of an impressive cast including;
Randy Quaid (Independence Day), Whoopi Goldberg (The View), Roger Daltrey (Tommy), Colm Meaney (Con Air), Kieran Culkin (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World). You can tell the actors take this film seriously even if we know it is all fantasy!

The mini-series is a pretty typical love story ala Romeo and Juliet. There is nothing out of the ordinary or surprising that happens here. The cinematography and special effects are good. The colors of the landscape and the costumes are unbelievably gorgeous! The story is for the whole family, yet I feel as if it was geared a little bit more toward the kids.

The original DVD release of this mini-series is out of print, so Mill Creek stepped up and decided to give fantasy film fans a chance to relive or see this mini-series for the first time. Kudos to them for doing this.

So if your a fan of fantasy films or mini-series you may want to add this one to your collection! Head over to www.MillCreekEnt.com or your local DVD provider and pick up
