Visual Vengeance has given us the physical media fan many new horror Blu-rays to add to our home video libraries. Recently we have seen such Blu-rays as, Fungicide, The Screaming, Laurin, and Cyclops.
Synopsis: The fraternity brothers at Delta Epsilon Delta are your typical red-blooded American party animals, that is except for Edgar Allen Lovecraft. He's locked up in his room trying to cure death and finds a serum that works on the severed head of a recently deceased comedian. When a mafia hood steals the serum to use on his murdered squeeze, her reanimated corpse goes on a campus killing spree - let the corny puns and one-punch decapitations fly!
Reanimator Academy runs a fast-paced 69. This is a low-budget horror film shot on video. Don't let the low-budget fool you; this film is out-of-this-world fun, complete with cheesy special effects. There is a statement used in the video: "So bad, it's good." Reanimator Academy is not going to win any awards, but it is fun. And let's face it, that is why we watch movies.... to have fun.
This film has been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p and is presented in 1.33:1 full frame. The audio is Dolby Digital 2.0 stereo. English subtitles are also available. This Blu-ray transfer comes from the existing SD tape masters. The result is a film that looks a bit washed out and fuzzy, but has that real VHS charm that works.
