Comic book and graphic novels fans love the stories found in these unique pieces of literature. We have events like comic con where fans can interact with their favorite writers, artists and stars. Comics are huge! Well, Catastrophic Comics co-owned by William Katt (The Greatest American Hero) brought a six-issue noir superhero comic entitled Spark to life and than followed it up with a feature length film.
After a radioactive meteor strikes Rochester NY, people are genetically altered they become known as The Rochester 13. Ian Sparks doesn’t feel super, but all alone, he decides to go into battle against the criminals plaguing the city. He finds himself teaming up with the beautiful Lady Heavenly. Together they clean up the mean streets, but they haven’t stopped the nation’s most twisted arch-villain. Can they stop his reign of terror or will they end up losing everything? You’ll have to watch the film to find out!
This is a low budget film, but it is done so well you would never know it! It has the feel of the old noir film with a super twist. Presented in wide-screen and Dolby digital 5.1 the film is just beautiful. Than the DVD extras include an audio commentary, outtakes and a making of feature.
