Peter Sellers Early Classics Blu-ray Review | Kino Lorber Studio Classics Comedy Collection

When people think of Peter Sellers most think of The Pink Panther films series. We recently saw Blu-ray releases of The Pink Panther, A Shot in the Dark, The Pink Panther Strikes Again and Revenge of The Pink Panther

But before he was known as the hilarious Inspector Clouseau. Peter Sellers was thrilling audiences with his comedy. Kino Lorber's KL Studio Classics have now released a collection of the early UK Comedies of Peter Sellers on Blu-ray. Take a look at what is included on this set.

Two Way Stretch (1960) 
While in prison, Dodger Lane plots the perfect heist: break out, steal diamonds, get back before noticed. With days left on sentence and a solid alibi, he's confident nothing can go wrong. ***

The Wrong Arm of the Law (1963) Cockney kingpin “Pearly” Gates (Sellers) runs London’s most efficient gang of thieves, organizing spectacular robberies from behind the front of a haute-couture dress salon. ***

Heavens Above! (1963) Reverend John Smallwood, an idealistic chaplain who is assigned to a wealthy parish where his progressive ideas are frowned upon. His actions start offending not only the townspeople but the religious hierarchy and even the government itself. Can the Church of England silence their most compassionate cleric, or will the vicar escape to serve the highest calling of all? ***

Every one of these films receive their own dedicated Blu-ray disc. The films have been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p and are presented on 1.66:1 aspect ratio. The audio tracks are in DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0. There is also English SDH subtitles.
