There have been much speculation that Vince McMahon since resigning from WWE/TKO in January 2024, that he would be interested in getting back into the sports entertainment business. But he has been dealing with Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit against him. You would think he would just want to focus on clearing this lawsuit up first. But we got some big news on the McMahon/Wrestling business rumors.
According to Undisputed’s Justin Barrasso Vince McMahon recently tried to purchase Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship. David Feldman, BKFC’s founder and president, confirmed that he had a meeting with McMahon. Feldman was quoted in saying, "He’s a great guy, his whole team is great, but the timing wasn’t right for us,’ said Feldman, who was not willing to relinquish full control of BKFC. ‘He’s Vince McMahon–if I were him, I’d want creative control, too. He was awesome, very complimentary, and he was very serious to do business.”
Vince McMahon still has a lot on his plate with this lawsuit. If and when Vince settles this lawsuit he could find himself back in the wrestling business. Even Barrasso’s report, “Speaking with several executives in combat sports and pro wrestling, the belief is that McMahon will ultimately find himself involved again in professional wrestling.”
McMahon recently founded a new company 14th and I. This company is supposed to be focused on “sports, media, & entertainment sectors.” But let's be honest here this could be a production company that focuses on documentaries and features for a wrestling/sports entertainment company.
Barrasso made an interesting point when he said, “Those with inside knowledge are not sold on the idea that McMahon’s investment firm, 14TH & I, is going to suddenly develop television shows or movies, a process that generally takes years to materialize. Perhaps this is a creative way of describing his parent company, similar to how WWE had a parent company in Titan Sports.”
