Lucille Désirée Ball was born on August 6th 1911. She started her career as a model and entered Broadway than the movies but little did she know she would be forever known as the queen of TV comedy, starring in I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show and Here's Lucy.
Now as a special tribute to the Queen of Comedy for her birthday month we are counting down our Top 7 favorite Lucille Ball films.

The world will always remember Lucille Ball as the Queen of Comedy and deservedly so. She is a comedy icon and legend. But as you can see our favorite Lucille Ball film is the drama. I wish she would have been given more opportunity to stretch her dramatic wings.
Classic Cinema Plus remembers her on the month of her Birthday. The year of this writing she would be 111 if she would have lived but sadly she passed away at 77 years of age. But she left behind a legacy of great films that will be enjoyed for generations to come.
