We are all trying to stay one step ahead of death. But one thing is for sure: no matter what, death always catches up to you. That is the whole idea of the Final Destination franchise. There is no Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, Leatherface, ect. It's just death itself.After 3 Final Destination films in 2009, the franchise went full on to a whole new dimension. The 3rd Dimension, with Final Destination 3D. Now, just in time for the Halloween season, Warner Home Entertainment has reissued this Blu-ray for those who missed it the first time.
Synopsis: After a teen's premonition of a deadly race-car crash helps saves the lives of his peers, Death sets out to collect those who evaded their end.
If you have ever watched a Final Destination film, you know it's all 'kills and thrills'. These films are not really about the story as who Death comes to collect. And it is the uniqueness of the kills that makes these films entertaining. While this 4th installment is nowhere near as strong as the first film, fans of this franchise will still be entertained.
Now on the bad side of things for this film, there is a pretty intense sexual scene, but it doesn't last too long. And the worst offense is that there is a pretty nasty racial slur thrown out. So these are a couple of things to just keep in mind.
Warner has transferred this film in both 3D and 2D versions to Blu-ray in 1080p and is presented in 2.40:1 aspect ratio. The audio tracks to choose from are an English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, French or Spanish tracks in Dolby Digital 5.1. There is also subtitles in English, Spanish, and French.
The film transfer is crisp and clean. The picture is sharp as a tack. In addition to the 3D and 2D versions of the film there are bonus features included on this

As you can see, the bonus features are a bit on the light side, but having both the 3D and the 2D versions of the film is a nice bonus. But in this entry of the franchise, while one of the highest-grossing, it leaves a lot to be desired.
