Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy they are iconic in the world of comedy. Often imitated but never duplicated. There comedy films have become something that actors, directors and film fans study because they re masterpieces.

But what about before they teamed up to become that iconic duo? Well, Stan and Ollie had solo careers in silent cinema. Now Flicker Alley has released a brand new deluxe edition of the early silent film of Stan and Ollie, and i love the title of this release "Laurel Or Hardy". We get to choose which film we want to watch of these iconic comedians.

Included in this 2 disc Blu-ray set are 16 Stan Laurel films and 19 Oliver Hardy films. Take a look at the film titles included;

Flicker Alley, the Library of Congress, and Blackhawk Films®, joined forces to bring classic film fans the early silent films of these comedy legends. The films have been restored in an all new 2K restoration from the source materials contributed by archives and collectors around the world.

The film prints vary in quality. Some prints look almost flawless. While others do have some slight specks of dirt to a couple scenes of fairly big deterioration. But these complaints are minimal, especially when you realize some of these films are over 100 years old.

Now as awesome as it is to see all these restored silent shorts in one collection. Flicker Alley always goes above and beyond with their releases. Also included on these Blu-rays are Image Gallery slideshow presentations featuring photographs from the Library of Congress collections. There is also art work on the inside cover. And finally there is a Collector's Edition Souvenir Booklet featuring note from film historian Rob Stone, as well as notes on the restoration from Lobster Film’s Serge Bromberg.
