DVD Review: Alien Contact

Reviewed By Jason Lockard

Mankind has always wonder if there was life out there beyond our own world! That is why Star Trek and Star Wars are such a popular entertainment series of films and TV even to this day! But many accounts of actual alien encounters are still taking place.

A couple months ago we reviewed a DVD release of ALiens in L.A. a documentary about such encounters in Los Angeles. You can read that full review here. But now it is time for the next DVD release this is Alein Contact: The Pascagoula UFO Encounter.

Calvin Parker and Charles Hickson were abducted by Aliens in 1973. The incident made headline news around the world yet like many reported UFO encounters skips into the ether and is forgotten over time. This case however, now takes the forefront decades later as new eyewitnesses have emerged to tell the story and confirm the horrifying encounter actually happened on that October night in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

In this film, we hear the true story from the lone survivor, Calvin Parker. He goes into the shocking details that have never before been exposed. It was a very interesting and well-produced documentary. Everyone interviewed was well-spoken. And the computer animations added for effect were pretty good. Some better than other of course. It made a very good addition to this film.

The documentary ran for a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes and it was a fast 75 minutes at that. You just get started and before you know it, it's at the end. I think fans of alien encounters and the UFO phenomenon will find this a great addition to their library!

Now for the DVD release itself. The feature documentary is presented in widescreen format and is in 5.1 Surround sound. It looks and sounds good on the HD-TV. As for the bonus features. There isn't much. There is about 13 minutes of trailers for additional extra-terrestrial type film releases.

So if you are a fan of Alien encounters or the UFO phenomenon Alien Contact The Pascagoula Encounter is one to think about adding to your collection. Head over to MVDShop.com or Amazon.com and get your copy today.
