DVD Review: Aliens in L.A.

Reviewed by Jason Lockard

Ever since the beginning of time man has looked to the skies and wondered if there was life beyond the stars. Books have been written, TV series made and movies produced all about the possibilities of life from other worlds visiting our planets.

They have ranged from the fun adventures like Men in Black to the futuristic shows like Star Trek. From adventures in galaxies far afar away to series about government cover-ups like The X-Files.

Well, in California alone there have been 13,506 UFO sightings. World Wide Multimedia have released a new documentary, entitled Aliens in L.A. that covers some such sightings in L.A.

This 70-minute documentary takes real people's real-life accounts and puts them on video with re-enactments and some startling evidence. Whether you believe in aliens or not one thing is for sure, this is a unique documentary.

Most of the time documentaries either move very fast and are enjoyable or are so slow they seem to drag on for years. Alien in L.A. moves along at a good pace. It is insightful and makes you question what you believe.

Are we really alone in this universe? Aliens in L.A. doesn't try to answer that question. It simply shows the evidence and leaves it up to the viewer. I have to say this documentary has a very "Blair Witch" feel to it. Is that what this is?! I will leave that up to you to decide.

As for the DVD release the film is presented in widescreen format and in 2.0 Dolby digital audio. The film looks amazing on DVD. And as for bonus features, it includes a trailer reel of more releases.
