9 Lives Movie Collection (1975-2005) {Blu-ray Review}

When you hear the title 9 Lives movie collection. First thing that may pop in your mind is cat movies. Well, nothing could be farther from the truth. This is an action movie collection on Blu-ray that will have you on the edge of your seat and it's all thanks to the good folks at Mill Creek Entertainment.

This collection brings us some of the most iconic action stars together all in one awesome Blu-ray collection. Stars like; Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal, Samuel L. Jackson, Chuck Norris, Jamie Foxx and many more. Lets take an look at the films included in this action movie collection.

                                                     Disc 1:

Last Action Hero (1993) - A magic movie ticket sucks 11 year old Danny,  a movie fanatic into the big screen to go on an adventure with this favorite action hero.  ***

Universal Soldier: The Return (1999) - The super-computer S.E.T.H. goes out of control and it's up to the Universal soldier, to stop it. In this sequel to Universal Soldier. **

Stealth (2005) - Three pilots struggle to bring an artificial intelligence program under control before it initiates the next world war. **

Vertical Limit (2000) - A retired climber must rescue his sister who is on K2, the world's second highest mountain. **

Blind Fury (1989) - A blind Vietnam vet and a master sword fighter, must protect the son of his army buddy while trying to rescue his buddy from gangsters! ***

Silent Rage (1982) - Sheriff Stevens is faced with trying to stop a genetic engineered murderer. ***

White Line Fever (1975) - A young married man becomes an independent truck driver and  fights corruption in the trucking industry. ***


The quality of stories very from film to film in this collection! Some stories are better than others, but that is to be expected. All of the films though have some intense action scenes that will have you biting your nails.

There are 3 Blu-rays included in this collection that is 3 movies per disc. Now with that you might think the quality would suffer, but the movie look really good. The picture is crisp and the audio is clear. As with collections of films some films will look better than others. You have to keep that in mind. But if you love action films, this is a good Blu-ray to add to your collection.

Nine films on Blu-ray for less than twenty five buck, that's less than 3 dollars a movie! That is a steal! I highly recommend this release for action film lovers!
