Many great Hollywood stars started their careers or made their names in film noirs. These mystery crime dramas made on a small budget and in a short production schedule were so popular that they were instant money makers for producers.
There are so many great film noirs. VCI Entertainment and MVD Visual have released a double feature Blu-ray/DVD combo. The release Film Noir Classics features two of the best film noirs and has some very well known faces.

D.O.A. (1949) Frank Bigelow (Edmond O'Brien) discovers he has been poisoned and has a short time until his death. So he decides to used his time left to discover who's responsible. While time is ticking away, he sets out on a journey that takes him into the depths of a labyrinthine underworld. ****
Borderline (1950) Two undercover agents Madeleine Haley (Claire Trevor) and Johnny Macklin (Fred MacMurray) are sent undercover to Mexico to infiltrate the narcotics operation of Pete Ritchie (Raymond Burr), a drug smuggler whose activities have eluded law enforcement. ***
These two classics have been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p and are presented in the original full screen format. The audio tracks are English AC3 tracks. Finally, there is the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
These two film have been newly restored in High Definition. What results is a nicer picture quality than you will find on a streaming service. The picture is crisp and the audio is clear. Now, in addition to a nice restoration of these films VCI/MVD added some cool bonus features as well. Take a look at what is included.
