No Address (DVD Review)

With inflation, tariffs, house mortgages and rent going through the roof and stores closing right and left jobs are harder to find. This makes it more and more possible for people to find themselves homeless. This is a heart-breaking thing.

Veteran film producer and director Julia Verdin has been making her mark on society by using her ability as a producer/director, raising awareness on key issues like child trafficking, domestic abuse, and addiction. And the latest is on the plight of homelessness, with the film No Address. This film is now on DVD from Mill Creek Entertainment.

Synopsis: A group of individuals that fall into homelessness unexpectedly. They bond together as an unconventional family, struggling to survive the streets, while warding off a harassing gang, unforgiving community, and local authorities. This cinematic exploration of hope, humanity, and resilience showcases how these characters navigate the stormy challenges of life with no physical address. Inspired by true events, this compelling drama captures the heartwarming journey of those experiencing homelessness.

No Address is a thought-provoking and compelling piece of cinema. It features wonderful performances by William Baldwin (Flatliners), Ashanti (The Muppet's Wizard of Oz), Xander Berkeley (Terminator 2: Judgement Day), Beverly D'Angelo (National Lampoon's Vacation film series), Ty Pennington (Extreme makeover: Home Edition), Lucas Jade Zumann (Sinister 2), Kristanna Loken (As The World Turns), Patricia Velásquez (The Mummy & The Mummy Returns), Isabella Ferreira (Crush) and Keenan Moran.

This film is based on a true story and really shows the viewer that a lot of times homelessness is not about laziness. Many homeless people just lost their jobs or things go bad in one way or another and then you just lose everything. Before we think bad of people like this, we need to realize that any of us could be in this situation. We need to show kindness and do something to help these people.

Mill Creek Entertainment has transferred No Address to DVD. The film is presented in widescreen format and presented in 2.39:1 aspect ratio. The audio track is an English Dolby 5.1. And there is the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

This DVD film transfer is really nice. It is crisp and clean with no signs of digital artifacts. In addition to a wonderful film transfer there is a bonus full-length documentary film entitled '
Americans with No Address' narrated by William Baldwin. There are also trailers for both the feature film and documentary.

I love that fact that not only do you get the feature film, but also the full-length documentary as well. So that when you purchase this DVD release you are getting two films for the price of one. You cannot beat that!

Some films are mean for more than just entertainment, they are meant for education. No Address shed light on a real issue that so many people are dealing with in this day and age. Hopefully soon there will be an answer and maybe help so that no one will ever have to suffer homelessness ever again.

So, if you enjoy dramatic films that deal with real life issues No Address is going to be one film you will want to see. Head over to Deep Discount or Amazon and order you copy today to add to your home video library.
