Lashley, MVP and Tamina Snuka, were removed from the internal roster recently as they have not been seen on WWE TV in months.
The thoughts are that Lashley and MVP want to try to get to AEW to recreate the Hurt Business. There have been no communications between AEW and the superstars as they are under contract with WWE.
In addition to Lashley and MVP the hope is to bring Shelton Benjamin (who was part of the group) into these plans of the reformation of The Hurt Business. Benjamin was released from WWE in September 2023. The speculation is that the contract of the two superstars will expire “relatively soon.” Cecric Alexander is still wrestling on WWE TV so the likelihood he would follow is slim.
MVP took to Instagram on Monday (7/22/2024) a teaser of an in-ring return.
MVP posted a photo of his wrestling boots and luggage, captioning it with the following:

“Dusted these off…” a fan responded that the boots did not look hung up, to which MVP replied, “Because they are NOT!!!”
MVP's attempts to register the Hurt Business name, though the USPTO website states it remains under the ownership of WWE. So they would have to come up with a new name!

It remains to be seen if AEW would be interested in bring the trio in for a run. And what would this new faction be called. Another possible place they could show up is TNA Wrestling. Lashley and MVP were there before under the faction "Beat Down Clan". They could reemerge there to help TNA Wrestling list that product! Only time will tell!
