MacGruber, Balls of Fury, Your Highness (Mill Creek Entertainment DVD Review)

Reviewed by Jason Lockard

People love to laugh! It is just a fact of life! That is way comedy films are always big business. Comedy films range from high brow, satire, slapstick to the just plain absurd.

Mill Creek Entertainment has released a DVD of three off the wall comedies. Let's take a look at the films included on this DVD release.

Our Rating System:
****=Don’t Miss it!
***=Worth a look.
**=An OK way to spend an evening.
*=You haven’t missed anything.

Balls of Fury (2007)
A former ping-pong pro plunges into the wild world of extreme underground table tennis.**

MacGruber (2010)
The legendary MacGruber faces off against his nemesis Dieter Von Cunth, who is threatening to level Washington, D.C. with a nuclear warhead.  **

Your Highness (2011)
An arrogant and chivalrous prince and his scoundrel brother must work together to rescue the prince's bride-to-be from an evil sorcerer. **

These three films are filled with stars that you know and love including; Natalie Portman (Thor Love and Thunder), Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter), Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth), Kristen Wiig (Wonder Woman 1984), Danny McBride (This is the End), James Franco (Spider-Man), Val Kilmer (Top Gun: Maverick), Ryan Phillipe (The Lincoln Lawyer), Dan Fogler (The Offer), George Lopez (The George Lopez Show), Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids) and Powers Boothe (Tombstone).

The comedy is crazy and sometimes just plain off the wall. But many film fans love this kind of comedy. I just want the reader to be aware that these films are Rated R and PG-13 so they are filled with adult language, situations and violence. So these are for adults.

Mill Creek Entertainment has transferred these films in their original widescreen format in 1.85:1 aspect ratio. The audio is a 5.1 surround sound. There is also English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

Now you might think three films on 1 DVD the video and audio quality might suffer. But these films are not lengthy ones. The longest film is Balls of Fury at just over 100 minutes. All three films together run 4 hours and 43 minutes so there is still enough room on the DVD for these three films to live without too much DVD artifacts.

So if you are a fan of comedies from the 2000s and 2010s this triple feature is going to be right up your alley. This DVD give you a lot of entertainment for your dollar. If you would like a copy of this triple feature comedy DVD head over to Amazon or Deep Discount and get your copy today.
