Kino Lorber is known for it's amazing releases on Blu-ray! But you may not know that they also have a pretty impressive streaming service, entitled Kino Now. On this service you can rent or own classic restored films.

In 1932 Paramount Pictures brought us an adaption of Ernest Hemingway's novel A Farewell to Arms. The film starred Helen Hayes, Gary Cooper and follows an American ambulance driver and an English nurse fall in love in Italy during World War I.

The film is for the most part a faithful adaption to Ernest Hemingway's novel. Gary Cooper and Helen Hayes really are amazing in this film. The direction of
Frank Borzage was masterful. This is a very effective drama. If you love a good cry A Farewell to Arms is going to be right up you're alley!

A Farewell to Arms was nominated for quite a few Academy Award, including the Best Pictures nomination. And it is no wonder t
he film was nominated, it is a very good film. But ended up loosing to Frank Lloyd’s Cavalcade.

The film is presented in it's original 1.33:1 aspect ratio and the English mono 2.0 audio track. The film looks and sounds good. It is not perfect, but it looks so much better than any copy you are going to find around the internet.

In this day an age of everyone streaming their content, it is great to see Kino Lorber bringing their brand of amazing restored classic films to the masses. Kino Now is available on computers, Android and Apple devices, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV.
