Reviewed By Jason Lockard

Mill Creek Entertainment has been bringing us the TV fans complete series sets of Knight Rider, Community, Robin Hood, Forever Knight and many more. Well, the latest show to get it's turn to shine on Complete series set from Mill Creek Entertainment is The King of Queens.

Many may know him as Paul Blart Mall Cop. Or from movies such as Here comes the Boom, Zookeeper, Grown Ups, or even from his stand-up comedy. But Kevin James in the late 90's into the 2000's he starred in an a amazingly successful sitcom The King of Queens.

The series follows Doug Heffernan (James) works for IPS delivery service but each night he comes home to his loving wife, Carrie. But that is not all. Unfortunately, he also comes home to his father-in-law, Arthur. Doug's only refuge from Crazy Arthur is the time he spends alone with Carrie and friends.

The writing in this series is hilariously funny. Each episode deals with Doug finding himself in a crazy situation and dragging his friends, Carrie his wife, his off the wall Father-in-law or friends along for the ride.

The cast does a tremendous job together here.

The episodes run around 22 minutes each. They are presented in the original widescreen format aspect ratio in 1.78:1 and in Dolby digital 5.1 audio.
Each season is housed on three discs, except the shorter seasons which run 1 or 2 DVD discs. Now you might think the quality would suffer from 7-10 episodes on a disc, but the audio and video quality of the episode transfer is not that bad at all!

As for the packaging!
This entire collection comes housed in a hard cardboard case a definite upgrade from thinner cardboard cases that housed some of the complete series collections. The top of the hard cardboard case has a light cardboard flip top that could be a problem of the discs falling out if you're not careful. But if you are like me your very careful with your collection so that shouldn't be a problem.

So if you are a fan of Kevin James or sitcoms in general. You have to check out King of Queens. And the complete series set from Mill Creek Entertainment is the perfect way to do it. Head over to MillCreekEnt.com, Amazon.com or your local DVD provider and pick up your copy today.
