Wonder Woman (2009) DVD Review

Reviewed by Jason Lockard

We are about upon the 1 year anniversary of Gal Gadot storming the big screen with her take on Wonder Woman. And let's face it, it is was an amazing cinematic experience! As we are on the 1 year anniversary I thought I would take a look back at the 2009 animated movie.

When an Army fighter pilot, Steve Trevor, crash-lands on the mystical island of Themyscira, where a fierce race of Amazonian warriors live. The rebellious and headstrong Princess Diana defies Amazonian law by accompanying Trevor back to civilization. Meanwhile, Ares (the god of War) has escaped his imprisonment at the hands of the Amazonians and has decided to exact his revenge - intending to start a world war that will not only last for centuries but will wipe out every living being on the planet, starting with the Amazons! It is up to Princess Diana to save her people!

The voice work is really good featuring Keri Russell, Nathon Fillion, Fred Mello de Castro among other greats. The animation and color of this film pops off the screen. The action keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is a beautiful piece of cinema.
