The idea of living dead aka zombies have taken over pop culture. It seems like everyone with a camera and a bunch of friends want to make a zombie film. But it's not just here in America, it is taken over world pop culture. As is proof with the new Korean film Zombie For Sale, now getting a Blu-ray release from Arrow Video.

First time director Min-jae Lee brings an off the wall zaniness to the Korean zombie genre, played for fun and laughs. Sort of what America did with Shawn of the Dead or Zombieland. But Min-jae's version of zombie horror has a very unique twist to it.

Korea's biggest pharmaceutical company's illegal human experiments go horribly wrong, one of their ''undead'' test subjects escapes and ends up in a gas station owned by the Park family. When he bites the head of their household, who instead of turning into a zombie the opposite happens! The aging process seems to reverse and he is young again at least in feeling. The Park family then decide to exploit this 'fountain of youth', allowing locals to pay to be bitten too, until things go horribly wrong.

As you read here this is a very unique take on the zombie genre that have been done to death. Finding a zombie film with a new story is a tough one, but Zombie for Sale does just that.

While Zombie for Sale is a fun little ride there is some things that zombie film fans may find off. First there is not a lot of gore. Zombie fans love their gore. And the film is more of a comedy than a straight out horror. So for almost 2 hours of zombie comedy may be a bit much to sit through.

Now for the film transfer. There film is presented in 1080p High-Definition and Original uncompressed stereo and 5.1 DTS-HD MA options Korean audio. But before you worry there is a newly translated English subtitles. The film looks stunning. The colors pop off the screen and right out at you.

But as we know
Arrow Video always goes above and beyond with their releases and Zombie for Sale is no different. They have loaded up this Blu-ray release with bonus features than will keep you watching. Take a look.
