WWE's Non-Compete Clause... No More!

The Federal Trade Commission approved banning the non-compete clause that could affect the workforce. President Biden said, "We are banning those agreements so that companies have to compete for workers and pay them what they are worth."

Now WWE for years have put 90 day non-compete clauses in their contracts. This new law will eliminate those clauses and cause these wrestlers to show up on other shows as soon as they are released.

In addition as we reported here earlier that Vince McMahon could start a new company the beginning of next year. Now with this new law he could start the new company could start anytime. But it is unlikely as he must clear up the legal issues he is facing. But He could work with another company in creative ect. Though many believe he is wanting to distance himself from the sport completely.

In conclusion this is great news for wrestler as they can start working immediately after being released by WWE. I always felt that this was petty to make a wrestler wait three months to work! Now wrestlers released can debut for another company. This is exciting as we can have more of the unexpected that was the Monday Night Wars in the 1990s.
