Arrow Academy is dedicated to bringing cinephiles films that they may have never had the chance to see. Like many of the foreign films. Well, Arrow Academy's latest offering is French films Life is a long quiet river.

The film tells the story of a scorned nurse who in a fit of revenge decides to switches a girl and a boy at birth. They are raised in two radically different families. When the switch is revealed many years later, the now teenagers and families need to cope with their new environments.

This is a very interesting story and is well written and produced. The film balances the dark humor with the seriousness of the story line of being switched at birth. However the story of the other child's early life is largely forgotten. It leaves a lot of questions as to what happen as a child. Unanswered questions is one of my pet peeves in watching films.

This film has been carefully transferred in High Definition in 1080p and has this original French mono audio and newly translated English Subtitles. The film looks pretty amazing. The colors are vibrant and the audio is clear. I have to say I was impressed with this film transfer. But as we all know Arrow Video is never happy giving film fans just a bare bones Blu-ray so they loaded this extra features into this Blu-ray set.
