The latest undead feature saw Daisy Ridley starring in We Bury The Dead. Vertical Entertainment has released this film on Blu-ray. Now, physical media fans can add this film to their horror film library and watch it whenever they decide.
Synopsis: After a catastrophic military disaster, the dead don’t just rise - they hunt. The military insists that they are harmless and slow-moving, offering hope to grieving families. But when Ava (Daisy Ridley) enters a quarantine zone while searching for her missing husband, she uncovers the horrifying truth: the undead are growing more violent, more relentless, and more dangerous with every passing hour.
We Bury The Dead is not the typical zombie film. This is more of an emotional journey of a woman searching for the truth behind what happened to her husband. This really helps this film from just being another undead feature. Daisy Ridley breaks away from the Star Wars character Rey that made her famous.
Vertical Entertainment has transferred this film to Blu-ray in 1080p and is presented in 2.39:1 aspect ratio. There are two audio options: an English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and an English Dolby Digital 2.0. There is also the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The film transfer to Blu-ray is a good one. The picture is crisp and clean and the audio is clear; there are no signs of digital artifacts or audio anomalies. This is a nice HD transfer. But as for Blu-ray extra, hold on to your hat.... There is none. Sadly, there is no audio commentary or a featurette. Not even a trailer.
If you enjoy Daisy Ridley, the zombie genre, or emotional dramas, We Bury The Dead is a nice little film. But this Blu-ray has no bonuses, and that really is a disappointment. But if you would like a copy of this film for your home video library, by all means, head over to Amazon and order your copy today.
Out of 4 film reels (4 being the best) the Blu-ray of We Bury the Dead receives....
