Magick Mnt. (DVD Review)

Cleopatra Venom have released one of the most ambitious and confusing film I think I have ever seen. The film is Magick Mnt. And I came away from this film shaking my head. Magick Mnt is a rock ’n’ roll fairy tale that features occult themes, and gothic storytelling.

Synopsis: Ghosts, Goblins, and Crowley. Magick Mtn. is a rock 'n roll fairytale set deep in Laurel Canyon using instruments of the occult to dig beneath the soil of a hillside marked by tragedy and death.

I wanted to enjoy this film, but there was just so much going on. I think it was so ambitious to blend so many genres that it just became confusing. But I give the producers such credit for trying to do something few have ever tried.

The film has been transferred to DVD in widescreen format. The audio track is an English Dolby Digital 2.0 track. There is also English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

The film's black-and-white picture is crisp and clean on DVD. There are no signs of damage to the print. No digital artifacts or audio anomalies. It is a nice transfer. Then there are the bonus features. Take a look at what is included on his DVD.

* Bonus Clips
* Exclusive Slide show

* Bonus trailers
* Audio Commentary

While I found this movie a bit confusing and just not as entertaining as I had hoped, I have no doubt some will enjoy it. So check out the trailer and you may find it interesting enough to want to see it. And pick up a copy of the DVD and support physical media.
