12 Strong (2018) 4K UltraHD Review

September 11th, 2001, was one of the most tragic attacks in American history. But it was also the most inspiring as we saw real life heroes step up and give of themselves to rescue people from the rubble. 

But it was more than just fireman, EMTs and other rescue workers. There were stories of the brave American soldiers. In 2018 Chris Hemsworth starred in 12 Strong. Now Warner Brothers Home Entertainment have released this film on 4K UltraHD. 

Synopsis: U.S. Special Forces team, led by their new Captain, Mitch Nelson (Chris Hemsworth), is chosen to be the first U.S. troops sent into Afghanistan for an extremely dangerous mission. There, in the rugged mountains, they must convince Northern Alliance General Dostum (Navid Negahban) to join forces with them to fight their common adversary: the Taliban and their Al Qaeda allies. In addition to overcoming mutual distrust and a vast cultural divide, the Americans accustomed to stateof- the-art warfare must adopt the rudimentary tactics of the Afghan horse soldiers. But despite their uneasy bond, the new allies face overwhelming odds: outnumbered and outgunned by a ruthless enemy that does not take prisoners.

12 Strong is a remarkable retelling of real life heroism. The action sequences are top notch and the acting is great. Chris Hemsworth leads a really great cast in this awesome tale. If you love military film this one should probably be on your list to see, if you haven't already.

12 Strong has been transferred to 4K UltraHD in 2160p and is presented in 2.39:1 letterbox aspect ratio. The soundtrack is a DTS-HD MA 5.1 Surround. There is also the option for subtitles in English French and Spanish.

The film looks absolutely stunning in 4k. It is so crisp it really puts your right on the front lines along for the ride with the 12 Strong. But Warner Bros didn't stop at a 4k film transfer, no way. They added so cool bonus features to this 4k UltraHD.

With an exciting film of heroism and the addition of two featurettes and a trailer. This is a very nice little 4K that would be a great addition to anyone's military film collection. And if you are a fan of Chris Hemsworth, even better.
