The Holidays are the perfect time for the family to gather around the television and watch a Christmas movie. Well the good folks at Mill Creek Entertainment have released a Christmas Collection, 5 new DVD releases for your holiday collection.
Here on Classic Cinema Plus we have already reviewed Christmas in the Smokies, Christmas in the Rockies, Christmas on the Coast and Christmas in the Wilds. Now it is time for the final film of this collection 2021's Christmas in the Pines.
Magazine writer Ariel Colt (Jillian Murray) and architect Mark Henderson (Dean Geyer) both buy the perfect Christmas cottage. There is just one problem, it's the same cottage. How could this possibly be resolved? In a last person standing battle. Both will decide to stay and first person to leaves forfeits the cottage.
Christmas in the Pines was a very unique Christmas story, but with all the sappy sweetness we have come to know and love in Christmas movies. Dean and Jillian (real life husband and life) have a very good onscreen chemistry. They are supported by Leigh-Allyn Baker (Will and Grace, Good Luck Charlie) and Grant Goodeve (Twin Peaks, Eight is Enough).
Mill Creek Entertainment has
transferred this holiday film in widescreen format in 1.78:1 aspect
ratio with a 5.1 Surround sound audio. Included
on this Mill
Creek Entertainment DVD is English subtitles for the deaf and hard of
hearing. The colors are vibrant and the cinematography look awesome on DVD.
As for bonus features there is a very nice little first look at the film. Also trailers for additional INSP holiday films, Christmas in the Rockies, Christmas in the Wilds, Romance in the Wilds and Christmas on the Range.

I truly loved the mix of comedy with holiday drama. It really was nice change to the ultra serious holiday films. I think this could very well become a staple for families Christmas movie viewing.
