With the Holiday season upon us it is time for roaring fires, hot chocolate with marshmallows and yes Christmas movies. The good folks at Mill Creek Entertainment have released a good chunk of holiday films on DVD.
You can read our reviews of a couple of those releases Christmas in the Rockies and Christmas in the Smokies. But now it is time for a review of another release, this time it's 2017's Christmas on the Coast.
The film follows Dru Cassadine (Julie Anne Emery), a hard-hearted New York novelist has lost her passion for writing, her latest novels have been less than successful to say the least. In order to get her career back on track she needs to write the "novel of her life" before Christmas is over. So for inspiration she heads south for the holidays, but she is about to find that the inspiration for her new romance novel may be a little more close to home than she expected.
Christmas on the Coast is a delightful wholesome tale chock-full of the holiday spirit. Yes the story is a bit predicable, but It is still a charming tale. Julie Ann Emery is great leading this film. She is supported by a great cast including, Burgess Jenkins, Clarence Gilyard Jr. and Bonnie Bedelia.
Mill Creek Entertainment have
transferred this film in widescreen format in 1.78:1 aspect ratio. The
audio is a 5.1 surround sound. There is also the option for English
subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing. This movie transfer looks
beautiful. The picture is crisp and the colors are vibrant. It really
looks nice on DVD.
Now
