On June 30th 2015 Scream the TV series first took the air on MTV. So since this is the 5 year anniversary since the series debut, I thought it would be appropriate to look back at the Season 1 DVD.
Slasher TV series? No! It just doesn't work right? Well, for the most part, yes it doesn't work, but is Scream the TV series a different thing? We will find out!
MTV took on the huge task of trying to bring Wes Craven's classic Scream to the small screen. The series starts with a cyberbullying incident that goes viral, and than a brutal murder. This stirs up haunting memories in the town of Lakewood.This series starts off with a bang!
It kind of reminds you of the original film. MTV allows this show to get away with a lot of blood, killing and sexual dialog. There is a lot of material in this series that is not for everyone.
1. Pilot: When a cyber-bullying incident results in a high school student's murder.
2. Hello, Emma: Audrey's secret girlfriend, Rachel Murray, is murdered by the killer, who stages it as a suicide.
3. Wanna Play a Game?: Emma learns quickly that her mother has been keeping even more secrets from her; the killer continues to harass Emma and challenges her to a dangerous game.
4. Aftermath: Riley's murder rocks the town. Because of this, Brooke feels guilty about leaving her alone at the station.
5. Exposed: When Emma and Will's scandalous video is leaked, Emma learns a heartbreaking secret.
6. Betrayed: When Audrey's DNA is found on the inside of the killer's mask, she becomes the main suspect when Rachel's death becomes an investigation.
7. In the Trenches: Emma, Jake, Brooke, and Noah are led to an abandoned bowling alley, where they play a deadly game of hide and seek as they desperately search for Will.
8. Ghosts: Emma is in shock after witnessing Will's death, leaving her haunted. Brooke's father is questioned in Will's murder investigation.
9. The Dance: Mr. Branson is taken into custody for the murders. Audrey and Noah look through Rachel's video files to find any connections to her death.
10. Revelations: Branson escapes from prison and the hunt for Sheriff Hudson is on. They find Hudson tied to a tree.
This DVD features all 10 season one episodes. Yeah you heard that right only 10! The audio and video transfer of these episodes though not on blu-ray are pretty crisp. The bonus features include, deleted scenes, a 3 minute gag reel and photo gallery.
