DVD Review: RZ-9

Reviewed by Jason S. Lockard

Our world is well aware of the war on terror, but what if good law-abiding Americans were targeted as terrorists by our government? That is the premise of the film RZ-9.

Patterson Endicott works in the government department as a drone controller. Suddenly a nuclear terrorist attack on LA wipes out the city. It is now time to take the fight to the terrorist.

Martial law is declared in America against all religions, the Erasers are to carry out that law. When Patterson, a devote Christian finds his name on a suspected terrorist list he must run before he is erased.

Patterson and his sister find themselves having to choice but to join up with other "terrorists" to escape the terrifying Erasers. Will they make it to freedom or are the Erasers just to good at their job. You'll have to check out the film to find out.

While the acting is not the greatest and the special effects are a bit cheesy. The story feels all too real and is
a frightening look into what might be. For a B-movie it is a very well written story and it's worth checking out for fans of sci-fi films with a message.

As for the DVD itself the film is presented in widescreen format and in 5.1 Surround sound. For a B-movie the picture quality is really good on this transfer. As for bonus features we get RZ-9 Declassified: A making of featurette, there is also extended scenes and the RZ-9 tralier.

So if you love political type films with a sci-fi twist this one might be just up your alley. Head over Amazon.com and pick up your copy today!
