Cartoons don't seem to be what they used to be. The early years of animation were just special. Kids to adults loved the animation of legends like Tex Avery. One of the most popular releases of 2020 was Warner Archive Blu-ray release Tex Avery Screwball Classics Volume 1. Read the full review of that release here!
The most iconic character to come out of Tex Avery's stable was the 'happy' little dog Droopy McPoodle. The amazing character would go on to star in 24 original theatrical cartoon shorts.
The great folks at Warner Archive released are giving classic cartoon fans an opportunity to own these cartoons on this Made-on-Demand 2 disc DVD set. Let's take a look at what is included in this set.

As for the DVD release, these cartoons have been transferred
and are presented in the original full screen format for most and widescreen formats for the final 7 cartoons. While these cartoons are not as cleaned up as the Tex Avery collection, and there is some slight specks of damage in the picture. There is not enough damage that should take away from the viewing pleasure.
Now as for bonus features there is an
eighteen-minute "Droopy and Friends: A Laugh Back", "Doggone Gags" a five-minute compilation reel of some of the best gags from the Droopy series and three trailers for other cartoon packages.
As for the packaging the two DVD discs are burned on demand and each disc has its own disc hub. The DVD case is a clear sturdy case. And the artwork (seen at the top of the page here) has a perfect image for this release.
This is an amazing DVD set. I thoroughly found myself in full-on binge mode with this set. Once I started I couldn't stop. I grew up on these cartoons and seeing them in better quality than I did when I was a kid, made me feel like a kid all over again. And that is priceless.
So if you love Tex Avery Cartoons and Droopy as much as I do I can not recommend this set enough. It is filled with great entertainment for the whole family. Head over to Amazon.com and get your copy today.
