Christmas on the Range (2019) {DVD Review}

Reviewed By Jason Lockard

As the Christmas season approaches, we hear of what seems to be an endless amount of new holiday movies. Some are good most are mostly just all fluff with very little substance. The new film Christmas on the Range is one of the new films for 2019.

Mill Creek Entertainment has released some good holiday entertainment for 2019. But Christmas on the Range is the latest release on DVD and Digital release. Let's take a look at this release.

The film follows Kendall Riley (Erin Cahill) who is desperately trying to keep her family’s ranch afloat while using an organic style of farming. The longtime rival, Brick McCree (A Martinez), has other plans. As Christmas approaches, her herd is scattered sabotaging her chances for success. Facing certain ruin, she receives help from an unlikely people, Clint—the rival’s son and Lillian Brick's ex-wife. Will they save the farm or will the evil Brick get his way? Well, you'll have to watch the film to find out.

I have seen a lot of made-for-tv Christmas movies in my time. And I have to say that this one is one of the better ones I have experienced. The acting is great, the screenplay was well written and the cinematography is gorgeous. It is unique to see the Romeo and Juliet story set in cowboy form. It was also amazing to see Bionic Woman, Lindsay Wagner in this film.

As for the DVD release the film is presented widescreen format in 1.78:1 aspect ratio and in 5.1 audio. The film transfer looks and sounds amazing. The DVD has an option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

But it doesn't end there the DVD also has a good amount of bonus features including; An inside look, Finding Love: Kendall and Clint, Second Chances: Brick and Lillian, outtakes, a trailer and more from INSP Films.

So if you love those made-for-TV holiday movies. I highly suggest Christmas in the Range. And the DVD and Digital from Mill Creek Entertainment is a great way to go about it. Head over to MillCreekEnt.com or your local DVD provider and get your copy today.
