At the age of 88, he is in a new b-horror movie, entitled Devil's Revenge from Cleopatra Entertainment. The film has been released on special Blu-ray CD combo pack! Let's take a look at this release.
The film follows John Brock, a down-on-his-luck archaeologist was exploring the Kentucky caves trying to locate a mysterious relic that his family has sought for generations, but to no avail. Upon returning home, John starts to see dream-like visions of an ancient folklore creature. John feels the only way to stop the visions is to go back to the cave, the only problem is the relic he has been searching for is there, but also a portal to the depths of Hell.
This film was co-produced and co-written by Willaim Shatner. Along with Shatner we get follow Star Trek alumni Jeri Ryan (“Star Trek: Voyager) and Jason Brooks (Star Trek (2009). Also Jackie Dallas (Netflix’s “Stranger Things”) & Michael Yahn (Netflix’s “Daredevil).
This film is not what it seems this is kind of a cheesy horror film. I don't think it was meant to be so, like Sharknado, but that is the way it came out. The story is ok, I'm just not sure if it was executed as well as it could have been. The special effects are okay. Nothing mind blowing but passable.
Than there is the great William Shatner. He is predominately featured on the cover and his name is emblazoned across the cover, he is only in the film for a very short period of time. That is a huge shame. Also the film is very adult, loaded with adult language, situations, and violence. So this is by no means a film I would recommend for teens.
Now for the Blu-ray release. The film transfer has been transferred in HD. The picture looks and sounds stunning even if the film itself is a bit unimpressive. As for bonus features on the Blu-ray, there is a bunch of trailers for other Cleopatra Entertainment releases and an image slideshow. Now a really cool bonus feature in this is the CD Soundtrack.
