I Married Joan Classic TV Collection #5

Reviewed By Jason Lockard

Classic Comedy! It doesn't get any better than that! Joan Davis was known as the scatterbrained blonde in the 50s. Where Lucy was the Red-head.  Many called I married Joan a rip-off of I love Lucy and while the premise was similar, Joan 's show had a charm all it's own.

The good folks at VCI Entertainment and MVD Visual have been releasing collections of this classic show for quite a while now. Each one bringing us more hijinx and fun with Joan Davis. The latest offering is I Married Joan Classic TV Collection #5. You can view the reviews of previous Volume One, Two, Three and Four.  Let's take a look at what is included in this collection.

Our Rating System:
**** = Don’t Miss it!

The shows are presented in their original full screen format. While the episodes may have some slight damage in the picture, they look and sound pretty good to me. I dare someone to watch Joan and not chuckle at her antics.

All 10 episodes are found on one disc. Now you would think that that the quality would suffer greatly. But these episodes look pretty awesome, in my opinion. And let's face it 10 episode of a classic comedy show the whole family can enjoy that is priceless.
