I Married Joan Collection 3 {DVD Review}

The scatterbrained housewife, Joan Stevens (Joan Davis) is back for another round of fun, comedy and utter chaos. And as always dragging her loving and devoted husband, Judge Bradley Stevens (Jim Backus) along for the ride.


The great folks at VCI Entertainment have been releasing collections of this classic sitcom and now is its time for Collection #3. Let's take a look at what is included in this classic TV collection.

Ballet (10/29/1952) In helping a couple resolve their problems, Brad tells about the time he enrolled Joan in ballet class to give her more energy. ***

Big Louie's Parole (12/15/1954) A local mobster threatens Judge Stevens over the parole of an incarcerated gang leader. Joan gets a gangster-movie actor help out. ***

Career (10/22/1952) Joan thinks her true calling is to be a great actress. ***

Crime Panel (11/12/1952) Joan and Judge Stevens are invited to be guests on a TV panel discussion about crime prevention. ***

Double Wedding (12/30/1953) Brad and Joan plan on renewing their vows, but their is a problem with their marriage license. ***

Eviction (4/15/1953) Judge Stevens evicts Joan's woman's group from the clubhouse because of noise. ***

Jitterbug (11/5/1952) Judge Stevens faces Joan's wrath when she appears in his court with a speeding ticket, and he refuses to fix it for her. ****

Secrets (5/6/1953) Brad shares a secret with Joan he is being considered for a Federal Judgeship, the next day everyone knows about it. ***

The Maid (1/12/1955) Brad and Joan hire a cranky maid. ***

Uncle Edgar (1/21/1953) Brad's cantankerous Uncle Edgar comes to visit and causes nothing but trouble. ***

The 10 episodes found in this collection is housed on 1 DVD disc. The audio and video quality is surprisingly good for so many episodes on one disc. There are some imperfections in the picture and in the audio in some episodes, but nothing that bad.

I love these old classic TV shows! They are good clean family friendly comedy. Something you can sit down and watch with the whole family and not worry about some one being offended by something!
