Reviewed by Jason Lockard

Dick Cavett interviewed almost every newscaster over his almost 30 year career. Newscasters reported some of the biggest stories in our countries history from the war in Vietnam to the scandal of Watergate. With Dick Cavett no subject was too controversial to discuss.

S'More Entertainment released a collection of show of Dick Cavett interviewing some of the biggest newscasters. Let's take a look at what included in the DVD Cavett Show: And that's the way it is.

Disc 1:

Walter Cronkite (October 16, 1974 and March 24th, 1982)

Mike Wallace (June 30th, 1970 and March 17, 1986)

Disc 2:
Barbara Walters (October 15th, 1970)

Diane Sawyer (November 18th, 1985)

Tom Brokaw (May 29, 1989)

Dan Rather (October 26th, 1991)

All eight of these full length episodes also include interviews with other such people as, Gig Young, Melvyn Douglas, Morley Safer Robert Klein, Joan Ganz Cooney, Don Hewitt, Frank Reynolds, Nicholas Johnson, Timothy Dickinson, The Roches, Teddy Ruxpin and Don Kingsboro.

The two disc DVD set presents the 4 full length episodes on each disc. The audio and video quality of the episodes look really good for the age of the episodes. There is some very minor flaws in the picture, but nothing that should take away from the viewing. These episodes are a really good snapshot into the past. I found myself riveted to conversations.

So If you love the interview style of Dick Cavett this is a must add to your collection. I highly recommend this one! Head over to MVDshop.com and pick up your copy today.
