Reviewed By Jason Lockard

In the early days of TV producers saw that people loved the crime dramas. So producers were always looking for a unique premise for the crime dramas. One of the most unique was entitled Everglades!

Ivan Tor who is probably best known for producing sci-fi movies such as, The magnetic monster, Riders to the stars and Gog. He also produced other TV series Science Fiction Theater and Sea Hunt. Was the producer of this little known classic.

The show has more or less been lost in time! That is until now! Alpha Video has rescued this series from oblivion and has released the first of what I hope is many more to come collections of episodes from this series!

Everglades! starred Ron Hayes as Constable Lincoln Vail, a law enforcement officer of the fictional Everglades County Patrol who traveled the Florida Everglades in an airboat. Finding himself in many dangerous situations that he must get out of! Let's take a look at the episodes included on this DVD!

Our Rating System:
****=Don’t Miss it!
***=Worth a look.
**=An Ok way to spend a half an hour.
*=You haven’t missed anything.

The Brand (Season 1 Episode 13): An illegal gambling ring is being run out a general store in the Everglades. ***

Force Ten (Season 1 Episode 15): Lincoln seeks shelter from a hurricane with four strangers, not realizing one of them is an escaped killer. ****

Edge of Panic (Season 1 Episode 19)
: A former crook wants to start a new life in the Everglades, but Lincoln doubts his good intentions.***

Ron Hayes was an amazing lead in this series, but there was also many great actors and actresses that made their way to this series in guest starring roles! Including, Burt Reynolds, Victor Buono, Charles C. Carmel, Bill Travers and Dawn Wells just to name a few.

This adventure series was quite an entertaining little program! The stories are interesting and the acting is good. I found myself at the final episode wishing there was more to enjoy! I hope Alpha Video brings out more of this awesome series!

The episodes are presented in their original full screen format. The audio and video quality of the episodes are not perfect, but I think are pretty impressive when you realize the age of these episodes.
