So, for the Duran Duran anniversary they wanted to do something special. A new album and a concert somewhere they had never done before. On the roof of a building in view of the Capitol Records building.
This Blu-ray release Duran Duran Live in Los Angeles A Hollywood High. Tracks the bands start and entering into America. And transitioning to a new country. They talk about how their music was received and how they had to change a bit. Very interesting. It's amazing but they talk about Covid and the Ukraine.
It is about a 15-minute documentary that takes us right into almost hour-long concert. We get to see the band perform some of their best. Including my favorite (and probably many others favorite as well) "Come Undone". If you have never seen Duran Duran in concert this is a perfect chance! It is so much fun!
The docu-concert film is transferred in 1080p and is presented in widescreen format. The audio track is a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. Being that this concert was just shot it is in HD and it looks and sounds stunningly beautiful.
When you think of a Blu-ray you think of the blue plastic case that houses the disc. Well not with this special release. This bright yellow cover looks like a book. You open up the cover and inside is the Blu-ray with a fold out booklet with liner notes and photos of Duran Duran. The colors are so 80s. Bright yellow, pink and lime green. Perfect!
I never saw Duran Duran in concert, until seeing this concert and what an experience it was. I can not thank Cherry Red Records, Last Man Media and MVD Visual enough for the opportunity to see this release. Simply spectacular.
