Synopsis: Bobbie (Reba McEntire) inherits her father's tavern and is surprised to discover that she has a new business partner, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo), a twenty-something half-sister that she never knew she had. In Season 2, Happy's Place reopens its doors, & a long-buried secret comes to light that will test loyalties & shake things up inside the tavern. Through it all, Bobbie must remind everyone that family isn't what you're born into, it's the people that stand beside you, even in the workplace.
Happy's Place season 2 really leans into the character development. We get to learn more about the lives of these people who work at Happy's Place. Season 2 really does expand on these characters, amping up the fun and the heart.
Happy's Place season one ran 18 episodes, and so does Season 2. Sadly, it seems NBCUniversal is okay with that. I find it disheartening how much a season has been reduced over the years. In the 1950s, it was 35 episodes, now down to 18. That's crazy.
All 18 Season 2 episodes of Happy's Place have been transferred to 2 Blu-ray discs. The episodes are in 1080p and presented in a 1.78:1 aspect ratio. The audio track is English Dolby Digital 5.1. There is also the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing. The Blu-ray transfer is crisp and clean, resulting in a wonderful viewing experience.
