Sweet Meats (Troma Films Blu-ray Review)

If you have never seen a Troma Film, first off where have you been? But secondly Troma Films are low-budget indie horror films that are truly one of a kind. Troma have been releasing there films on Blu-ray. We have seen Eating Miss Campbell, Frightmare, Shakespeare S**tstorm, and The Last Horror Film, just to name a few.
 
Now the latest Troma film Blu-ray is a film that brings back memories of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, yet with a comedy twist. The film is entitled Sweet Meats.

Synopsis: Bobby Sweet is a country music legend and has been the world-renowned face of 'Sweet Meats' since establishing his first restaurant with his wife. Sometimes a 'secret ingredient' should stay that way.

If you are going into this film thinking your are going to see terror and feeling thoise jump scares, well, you don't know Troma films. These films are not made as true horror, they are horror comedy. Anyone who watches Troma films will tellyou they are for fun.  And Sweet Meats will hit all the right spots for those who o=love this kind oif film. But if you are looking for straight horror look somewhere elese.

Sweet Meats has been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p and is presented in widescreen format. The audio track is an English Dolby Digital 2.0. There is also the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

For a low-budget horror comedy film this transfer is pretty nice. There is no signs of damage to this print. There is also no digital artifacts or audio anomomies. It is just a very nice looking Blu-ray transfer. Now in addition to the movie, this Blu-ray includes some bonuses Troma fans will get a kick out of.
