Eating Miss Campbell (2022) Blu-ray Review

Troma Entertainment was founded by Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz in 1974. The company was founded to produces low-budget B movies that would focus on the horror comedy genre. Through the years they would produce such cult classics as The Toxic Avenger (1984), Class of Nuke 'Em High (1986) and Tromeo and Juliet (1996) and Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (2006).

They even produced a kids cartoon series called The Toxic Crusaders based on The Toxic Avenger. Surprisingly Troma restored and released that cartoon series on Blu-ray. You can check out that series here. Troma Entertainment is still churning out cinema even after all these years and the latest is Eating Miss Campbell, now on Blu-ray!

Synopsis: Meet Beth Conner an 18-year old angst-filled goth vegan, who's attempted every form of suicide imaginable, but instead of dying, se wakes up in a low-budget horror movie. Beth's only wish  is to find love, wake up in a romantic comedy and escape the horror movie genre once and for all.

Meanwhile English teacher Miss Campbell joins the rank of Henenlotter High, and inspires Beth to annihilate the toxic patriarchy within the hallowed hall of her school. Beth soon finds herself falling into a taboo relationship with her teacher whilst simultaneously craving cannibalistic taste for human flesh. 


Troma films were never known for being politically or socially correct. They would push the envelope of good taste. And here Liam Reagan has written and directed this film that brings the wild craziness of Troma that so many love to a new generation.

This film is a blood soaked, profanity filled film that takes place in a school. The acting is what you would expect from a Troma release. But look for a fun appearance from legendary Troma producer Lloyd Kaufman.

Eating Miss Campbell has been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p the films is presented in 1.85:1 aspect ratio. There are two audio options. There is a DTS-HD master Audio 5.1 and Stereo 2.0 There is the option fo subtitles in English, French and Spanish.

The film transfer is really crisp and clean. There is no digital artifacts or audio anomalies found on this Blu-ray disc. In addition to a clean transfer there is a good amount of bonus features included on this Blu-ray!

As you can see there is a ton of bonuses on this Blu-ray that will will have Troma fans entertained for hours. But be aware this release is really only for Troma fans. The normal film fans will be offended by the goings on in this film.
