In literary history there are very few names that are considered better than that of William Shakespeare. Think about iconic works he did throughout his career. The tragedy of 'Hamlet'. The timeless love story of 'Romeo and Juliet', the supernatural dark tale of 'Macbeth' and the tale of power and madness of 'King Lear'.
Troma Entertainment are known for the crude and sometimes ovely disgusting cinema presentations. But those that enjoy them cannot wait for the next physical media release. Well, the wait is over. The next release is a 4K/Blu-ray of a parody of William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' the film is entitled Shakespeare's sh*tstorm.
Synopsis: Mad scientist Prospero runs away with his blind daughter Miranda to Tromaville, hiding from evil pharmaceutical execs, including his own sister Antoinette, who ruined his career after he found the cure against opioid addiction. With the help of a handicapped crack-whore, he releases a massive amount of laxative to whales, while his enemies are on a cruise ship to North Korea. A humongous sh*tstorm washes the boat away and brings them to Tromaville. Prospero can now fully realize his ultimate vengeance.
Just when you think you have seen all of the disgusting and offensive films that Tromaville can offer, here comes yet another. And this film takes the offensive material to a whole new level. There is so much in this film to be offended by every member of the audience will find something. But that is what Troma tries to do. And they do a great job at it. The film is a gross out nightmare on screen!
Everyone in this cast puts there all into there roles, even though the story is a bit crazy and far out. But that is what people expect from Troma Films. There was a shocking appearace that I never saw coming in this film. Ming Chen of Kevin Smith's Comic Book Men tv show had a role in this film.
The film has been transferred to 4k in 2160p and to Blu-ray in 1080p and presented in widescreen format. The film transfer is crisp and clean with no signs of digital compression issues or audio anomalies. This release features three discs. A 4K, a Blu-ray features film disc and a second Blu-ray with a good amount of bonus features. Take a look at what is included!
* Introduction by Lloyd Kaufman

For me what makes physical media so much better than streaming. First off is the fact you own the disc. No one can take that from you. But the other great thing is seeing all the bonus features. I love behind the scenes featurettes and commentaries. As you can see Troma added these and more.
Let's be totally honest here Troma Cinema is not for everyone. In fact it is for a very niche audience. But for those that get a kick out of this kind of cinema. Shakespeare's Sh*tstorm is going to really scratch that itch!
So, if you enjoy Troma's gross out cinema well, then you are going to want to add Shakespeare's Sh*tstorm to your to your home video library and this 4k/Blu-ray is the perfect way to do it! Had over to MVD Shop or Amazon and order your copy today!
