Two WWE Legends Announce Departures from the company

Today June 1st, 2025 it was announced by the two superstars of their upcoming departures from WWE. First R-Truth announced his contract will not be renewed and than later in the day Carlito announced the same thing. Both announced this on X fka Twitter.

My contract is up in 2 weeks. It will not be renewed. On top of that, WWE is demanding I pay back the $ they paid me for apparently “stealing money” from the company. I’ve had my lawyers look into it and after reviewing my footage on Netflix for the past months they suggested I pay them back the money😳

All jokes aside, gracias WWE & especially the WWE universe. Los quiero mucho!

This is a shocking turn of events as R-Truth is the most beloved wrestler in WWE backstage and by the WWE Universe and Carlito always brought so much fun to the backstage segments with The Judgement Day.

The world has been tweeting support for these men! We have seen in the past men and women released from WWE doing extremely well travelling the country and world. Want proof look at Matt Cardona.

Carlito is already set as he is the current WWC Puerto Rico Champion. There are a lot of opportunities here in the United States with AEW, TNA Wrestling, MLW. And around the world the most popular destination being New Japan Pro Wrestling. 

It will be interesting to see where these two end up after the contracts expire and they are free to work anywhere!
