December 27, 2024 Will Mark the end of WWE Smackdown's Two Hour Broadcast

WWE has officially announced on WWE.com that Smackdown on USA is expanding from two to three hours starting with January 3rd 2025. This marks a shift to bring Smackdown in direct importance with Monday Night Raw that will more than likely return to 3 hours once they debut on Netflix January 6th 2025.

There have been a lot of discussions with fans on social media how 3 hours of Raw is just too long of a show to watch. Now to expand Smackdown to 3 hours to go along with Raw and 2 hours of NXT on CW that is 8 hours of wrestling a week, not including other WWE programming and PLEs. That is a lot of programming to digest.
