Warehouse 13: The Complete Series (2009-2014) Blu-ray Review

Part Indiana Jones, part X-Files, mix-in a little Moonlighting and what you got is a fun, entertaining little series called Warehouse 13. The series aired on Syfy Channel (at the time named SciFi Chanel) July 7, 2009, to May 19, 2014 for an great 5 seasons and 65 episodes.

Now for the 15th Anniversary of this series debut, Universal Home Video have released a deluxe Blu-ray set of the complete series of Warehouse 13. Complete with tons of bonus features!

Synopsis: Within the walls of Warehouse 13 live the strangest and most dangerous artifacts quietly filed away history. Within Warehouse 13: The Complete Series live the 63 adventures that defined "Endless Wonder" for Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock), Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly), Claudia Donovan (Allison Scagliotti), Steve Jinks (Aaron Ashmore), and Artie Nielsen (Saul Rubinek). It was these artifact pings that catapulted the team into nonstop missions filled with harmful historical heirlooms, vindictive villains, and extraordinary exploits, all while keeping audiences on the edge of their seats.

The Warehouse 13 pilot episode was the most watched cable show on American television that night. The pilot movie garnered 3.5 million viewers. That is pretty impressive to say the least. It also became the third biggest premiere for Syfy only behind that of Stargate Atlantis (2004) and Eureka (2006).

Now to be totally honest I felt the pilot was a bit weak. Entertaining, but weak! But as the series started episodes got stronger and the series seemed to gained it's legs. The chemistry between the actor's characters got better. The stories got more interesting and it really became a pretty amazing little sci-fi program.

Now Universal Home Entertainment have collected all 65 episodes of this series on 16 Blu-ray discs. These episodes have been transferred in 1080p and are presented in widescreen format. The audio is a DTS-HD Master audio 5.1. There is the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

I must say I was extremely impressed with the clarity and crispness of these episodes. There was no damage that I could see to these prints and they were void of digital artifacts. The audio was clear with no distortion. This series looks great in HD!

Now 65 episodes on one Blu-ray box set would be enough entertainment for me to call this a must own. But Universal Home Entertainment really went about and beyond here. They added so many bonus features. It is just crazy. Take a look at the bonus features included on these discs.
