Joysticks Blu-ray Release Update!

The following press release is from MVD Entertainment!

JOYSTICKS UPDATE (2/22/2024):

Please allow me to start this update expressing my sincerest apology for allowing this audio error to happen on our release of "Joysticks". I agree that it should have been caught prior to going to press / replication. And while we did catch the error prior to the release date and inform our retail partners, some retailers unfortunately still shipped out the defective product.

Originally, MVD did not plan for a replacement program because we were under the assumption that the issue had been contained and that only a handful of consumers had received product early. Because MVD assumed that a small amount of people were affected, MVD instructed me to instruct consumers to just return the defective product to the retailer that it was purchased and to reorder the new corrected sku coming in May 2024 . Again, this was MVD's plan regarding how to address this issue when we thought it it had been "contained" and before any major retailers shipped defective product to consumers.

When it came to our attention that Amazon mistakenly had shipped out defective product, MVD fully understands, now, that this issue has affected more than just a "handful" of people. MVD has seen your posts, your feedback and your emails and we realize that it is an inconvenience for many our customers to request they return, given the amount of people that this error has affected. As a result, MVD is now planning a replacement program for those who do not want to return their defective copy of "Joysticks". We do not yet have discs in our possession today, but once we do, I will post on here informing you that the replacement discs are in along with instructions on how to receive your new discs. Just to note, we will not be sending out full packaging, just the disc itself to replace your defective disc. I am politely requesting that you refrain from contacting MVD today about the replacement program. Once we have corrected product in hand, you will receive instructions on how to get your corrected copy.

For those who followed MVD's original instructions and returned your discs, first let me say "thank you". Second, please accept our (and my) sincerest apologies for asking you to do so, and then putting together a replacement program. It was not our intention to create more confusion. For those who purchased from Amazon specifically and returned your purchase back to Amazon, I understand that the current price is currently higher than the sale price they were offering for the previous version. Please understand, when a new listing goes live on Amazon, initially, it always goes live at full suggested retail price, but at the same time, Amazon almost always, 99% of the time, reduces the price as traffic to the page increases and the release date approaches. This happened with our initial original listing of "Joysticks" and there is no reason for me to believe it won't happen again. Amazon always has their "Pre-order price guarantee" (meaning, whenever anyone pre-orders a physical item displaying the “Pre-order Price Guarantee” message on the product detail page, the price Amazon charges when they ship it to you will be the lowest price offered by Amazon com between the time you placed your order and the end of the day of the release date), so when the price goes down, you are guaranteed the lower price. Or you can wait for the price to drop prior to the release date before you place your order if that makes you more comfortable. Either way, I would be very surprised (VERY), if the price on Amazon does not drop before the new release date. But again, we appreciate your following our initial instructions and returning your item as originally requested and we apologize for the inconvenience of our instituting a replacement program after having made that request. Again, we ask you to understand that the reason this happened this way is because we were under the assumption that the issue had been contained weeks before release date and far less people were affected. Again, we were wrong and are sorry.

We are doing our best to serve our customers in the best possible way. I personally take responsibility for the confusion that I have caused. This past week has been a difficult one for me because I get frustrated when I've let you down and allow mistakes to happen. Things were happening fast, things were changing quickly and I could have done a better job in managing the situation. I appreciate your understanding and promise to do a better job going forward.
