Lifemark (2022) { Blu-ray Review}

It is a sad thing that so many children are orphans and never find love in a family unit of their own. That is why adoption is such a hot topic in this day and age. Well earlier this year (2022) there was a film about adoption entitled Lifemark, it was based on a true story.

Now this film is receiving a Blu-ray and DVD releases thanks to the good folks at Mill Creek Entertainment. In addition to the physical media release there are some very cool bonus features added as well.

David's comfortable world gets turned upside down when his birth mother unexpectedly reaches out to him. With the encouragement of his adoptive parents, he embarks on a journey of discovery that leads to a staggering truth from his past.

Lifemark is such a heartwarming drama. In addition to the drama the film includes action, comedy, and a good dose of faith. I have to say that once you start this film you will be drawn in to David story.

The film stars some familiar faces you will know doubt know. Those faces include, Kirk Cameron (Growing Pains), Alex Kendrick (Courageous, Facing the Giants), Rebecca Rogers (An Unlikely Angel, Texas Rein), Dawn Long (Treasure Lies, Cowboys), Justin Sterner (Running the Bases), Marisa Hamption (The Reliant, Run) and Raphael Ruggero (Camp Hideout).

Lifemark is produced by Kirk Cameron and the Kendrick Brothers and directed by Kevin Peeples who also co-wrote the screenplay. He is probably best known for his other films War Room, Overcomer, Beyond The Mask and Courageous Legacy and does a masterful job here in this film.

This faith based drama is transferred to in 1080p in 2.35:1 aspect ratio and the soundtrack is a DTS-HD Master audio 5.1. There is also an option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing. This transfer looks and sounds spectacular, but the a heartwarming film is not all that is included in this Blu-ray release. There is a ton of bonus features included on this disc.
